First graders have visited us to learn a lot about toucans from an expert Zoo educator.
They have been able to learn many things about this bird from where it lives, such as its eggs, feathers and beak while looking at biological material.
They have also made some dynamics to know what his footprint is and what he eats by preparing a dish for him.
Then they were able to go see the aviary kitchen, where they prepare the diets for most birds.
As there are no toucans in the Zoo now, they have been able to visit other birds that also live in the jungle and have known the threats they have to their habitat as well as many curiosities!
