Silver Lime
            Tilia tomentosa

The dense and slightly pyramidal foliage, with widespread and arched lower branches and a robust and regular frame, imbues the linden with a noble and imposing air. The leaves are rounded, with a pointed apex, lobed base and serrated edge. The dark green of the obverse contrasts with the downy white of the reverse, giving the foliage the silvery hue that gives its name to this species. Paired with the leaves we find the long light green bracts from which the yellowish inflorescences emerge.
In the case of the silver linden, we cannot benefit from the well-known calming property attributed to infusions of linden flowers as these are of a lesser quality than in other species.
