"The Zoo gets to school" visit...Gandesa
Our Education Team have visited Terra Alta High School from Gandesa today. We organized a educational lesson in english about endangered species in Africa. Students were in their first and second year of ESO.

Learn about elephants with students P4 from Onze de Setembre school
Children from Onze de Setembre School met our three females elephans. Thanks to them they were able to learn about their habitat, their feeding, breeding, morphology and other special features. Besides, the educator talked about the importance of their conservation.
First Year of ESO Santa Dorotea, Workshop about Nutrition and Breeding
Students in their first year of ESO from Escola Santa Dorotea (Barcelona) came to the Zoo to study different aspects about animal nutrition and breeding. They analyze numerous animals structures and strategies come from two huge evolutionary forces: the necessity of feeding and the necessity of breeding. Thanks to this workshop, they were able to compare with human structures, they learnt lots of things and finally, they enjoyed it.
Horsemen from Sant Nicolau de Canyelles School
P3 students from Sant Nicolau School learnt about plenty of things from this kind of animal and the rest of the equines who are living in the Zoo. The educator taught them how take care of them. They enjoyed the Farm tour guide very much.
Training about Life Tritó Project in Education Area
The staff of Education Department carry on training in Life Tritó Project. Educational and informative activities will be scheduled very soon.

Children from Vinya del Sastret discovered many wild animals that they're living in the Zoo.
Discovering animal vertebrates with Escola Montcau la Mola
Students from l'Escola Montcau la Mola carried out Vertebrate Evolution Workshop in their fourth year of ESO. Doing this Workshop, they were able to discover how different vertebrates have changed and adapted to new environments.
P4 students from Escola Josefina Ibañez do research about tigers
Today, little researchers from Escola Josefina Ibañez have visited us and they've been discovering the wonderful world of tigers. They've found out Tibor among the herbs and logs. Besides, they enjoyed visiting all felines in the Zoo during all day.
A new course of Research Work (TR) for high school have started today in the Zoo
The Education Department Staff have given new contents to the course of the Research Work (TR) that it started today.
Once the educators introduce the course, all of them start a tour guide in order to help them to arange their ideas and make posible questions and hypothesis.
