This time they are the third grade students who want to learn a lot about snakes. Of the big ones, the small ones, the poisonous ones, the stranglers, the ones that camouflage themselves, the ones that have bright colors, even those that deceive by imitating bright colors and have no poison, those from other countries and the indigenous ones. All fantastic carnivores and with that aura of mystery that hypnotizes us as we see them appear crawling and moving their forked tongue!.
The ecological role they perform is priceless! They have been able to know all the species that we have in the Zoo from the hand of the zoo educator who explained these and many more things about their biology, feeding and reproduction. Without forgetting the problems these animals encounter in their habitat.
They have also made a special visit to see other snakes up close and to be able to talk to their keeper who was feeding them at the time.
You should know that snakes can go a long way without eating. And they could not leave the Zoo without having the sensation of the touch (soa proper hygienic measures) of the scales of one of the largest snakes in the world.
Would we know what it is? Don't worry, the scales are part of the Zoo Education Department collection of biological remains!
