PASA intends to collect and analyze data about all reintroductions of great apes that have been conducted in Africa, and create a comprehensive best practices guide which will enable conservation organizations across Africa to conduct more successful great apes reintroductions.

Furthermore, the Reintroduction Synthesis Project will better equip sanctuaries to record future data, increase wild ape populations in peril, and demonstrate that reintroduction is a valuable tool for conservation.
