The first-year students wanted to see the flamingos up close and learn a lot from a Zoo educator who was very well accompanied by a giant flamenco !.

They have seen how they live and where, in Catalonia we also have them and they visit us in the summer!

They have also learned what their eggs are like, how many and where they lay them and what their nests are like (they haven't done them yet, they will have to wait until spring).

Our Cuban flamingos are starting to rehearse the dances for spring and have learned what a colony is. She specifically lays many eggs and knows how to take good care of them and the chicks when they are born.

On the other hand, they have seen what they eat as adults in the wild and at the Zoo, the reason for the shape of their beak and the color of their feathers, with the help of biological material.

Also what they eat from chicks and what their color is when they come out of the egg that will change as they get older.

Finally they have found out what problems they have like climate change affecting migrations !.
