To mark Orangutan Caring Week, this weekend we are celebrating these extraordinary apes which are critically endangered in their natural habitat.
At the orangutan habitat:
- Sunday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Visit the Borneo Nature Foundation stand and meet the team working to protect Borneo’s unique biodiversity, with support from Barcelona Zoo.
- Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 pm
Discover the orangutans of Borneo with the Zoo’s educators. An opportunity to learn more about these fascinating great apes, their extraordinary intelligence, and the conservation challenges they face in the wild.
- Photo exhibition “Protecting Borneo”.
An exhibition highlighting the reality of these animals in Borneo, the threats they face, and the solutions that BNF is implementing with the support of Barcelona Zoo.
Don’t miss this special opportunity and help us protect the orangutans of Borneo and the forests they call home!
Occasionally, activities may need to be modified or cancelled due to animal welfare needs or unforeseen circumstances.
