3rd of ESO students from IES Barri Besòs have presented the observational project they have been working on over this school year. It consisted of a photographic exhibition that gathered their study of primates playing and showing their adaptive values.
Starting with the question “Do primates play?” they have been able to learn and discover that playing is important for their psychomotricity, self-knowledge and the development of behaviors they will need when they become adults. Imitating the adults is part of the primates learning and makes them discover their own symbolic game.
