Cleaning, enriching, feeding, observing and healing, training ... and in short making sure that the animals have a well-being at the Zoo for their conservation is one of the tasks that the first year students of ESO have learned. They have seen examples visiting animals and important places such as bedrooms, the veterinary clinic and the warehouse.

In order to conserve species, educational programs must also be carried out by schools and by the general population. If the problems are not known they cannot be solved. This is the second task: to raise awareness among the population.

And lastly, it cannot be conserved without research, we need to know everything these species need at all levels both in freedom and in captivity.

They have also learned what the process is to recover a species from extinction or to improve its status.
