On June 8 and 9, the Barcelona Zoo will join the 17th edition of the Science Festival organized by Barcelona City Council and which will take place at the Born Center for Culture and Memory and Plaça Comercial.

With the aim of raising awareness of how important it is to conserve biodiversity, the Zoo will offer the family activity "Agents for the defense of biodiversity". Its participants will have the opportunity to discover the microscopic beings that hide inside a drop of water and they will get to know a very important one: artemia, a tiny crustacean that lives in wetlands and is special importance for species such as flamingos or crabs.

The activity is aimed at children between 6 and 14 years old and will be available both days at the stand that the Zoo will have in Plaça Comercial, next to the door of the Born Center for Culture and Memory.
