As every year, biology students at the UB visit the Zoo, an oasis in the middle of the city, full of abundant vegetation where different wintering and resident bird species visit us.

Many of the residents are birds typical of wooded areas and others of coastal areas, as we are very close to Collserola and the beach.

Also living are invasive alien species such as the argentine or gray-breasted cotrose, the Kramer and some other aratinga. As native, people you can see in this black red start birds, different species of tits, starlings, treecreeper, blackbirds, argentine gulls, laughing gulls, white pile driver, cattle egret, fishing flocks ... And our special resident bird the sacred ibis !.
