During this exceptional time, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, here at Barcelona Zoo we wanted to do our bit to help healthcare workers in their efforts to help those affected.

Last week, in response to a request from Barcelona + Sostenible and an initiative from our own customer services department, the Zoo made two donations of materials. Firstly, 16,000 waterproofs, which the Zoo normally issues to members of the public, were given directly to Barcelona City Council for healthcare workers to use as gowns. Secondly, and for the Ateneu Tecnològic de Barcelona Activa we donated 236 sheets of acetate and propylene, which will be used to make protective screens for nursing staff.
 

We hope our contribution will be of some help to the people who are working every day to safeguard our health and that it makes it easier for them to carry out their tasks.
