The Barcelona Zoo Foundation has opened the application process for the 2019 grants for research and conservation projects. The purpose of these grants is to support projects that share the Zoo’s values of conservation, education and awareness of biodiversity.

This year, the three types of grants awarded in previous years – PRIC (Research and Conservation Projects), Floquet de Neu and Antoni Jonc – are being combined in a single call for grant applications. 11th Call for Research and Conservation Project Grants for specific projects proposed by external researchers that are in line with Barcelona Zoo Foundation's general goals in the field of research and conservation.

Since 2009, the Zoo has awarded a total of €940,317 in grants which, together with the research and conservation programmes we implement, are testament to our commitment to protecting endangered wildlife.

The deadline for submitting applications and projects for this year's call is 2 June. See the terms and conditions of the call.
