Pagoda Tree
            Stypholobium japonicum

These are trees with quite twisted branches that end up forming a rounded and extensive foliage that provides a lot of shade. The leaves are very similar to those of rosewood and robin trees, but they have a pointed apex and no thorns on the branches. The fruit, also very different from those of the rosewood and robin trees, stay on the tree in the form of graceful and dense pendants, even after the leaves have fallen.
It is a tree that is often planted on the streets and in the squares of Barcelona due to the resistance that it displays in urban environments.
