Cedar of Lebanon
Podocarpus neriifolius
Conifer with a conical, dense foliage, with branches from almost the base of the trunk. It is covered entirely in coriaceous lanceolate dark green leaves that are shiny on the front and pallid on the reverse. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, the mountain areas of tropical jungles, where it grows in abundance at altitudes of between 1,600 and 2,400 m.
Although we do not know much about podocarpus conifers, they are widespread in their place of origin as the pine is here.
