Spaces in the Zoo

Farm

The farm, also known as the Children's Zoo, is one of the facilities that our youngest visitors love. It houses goats, cows, sheep, pigs, horses, asses and even a Catalan donkey, a species that was on the point of becoming extinct. For more information on the Catalan donkey, visit: http://www.fuives.com/ There are also smaller farm animals, such as rabbits and field mice, and domestic animals such as hamsters.

As the majority of children live in cities and do not have the opportunity to interact with animals, the farm's principal objective is to allow contact between children and domestic and farm animals.

There is also a small lake, surrounded by reeds and other natural vegetation where the three most common species of amphibians that live in the zoo reproduce: the green frog, the midwife toad and the Mediterranean tree frog.
