Today the Zoo went to visit the 1st year ESO students who are starting a new interdisciplinary project.
They will choose different animals that are in the Zoo and research all aspects of the biology of these animals and the requirements necessary for them to have good welfare in captivity. That is why today they had the advice of a Zoo educator who explained many aspects to them about it.
It must be remembered that animals are in captivity to try to prevent their disappearance in their habitats, that is, for their conservation.
As a final project they will have to make a suitable installation for each species so they will visit the Zoo where they will see our enclousures and the necessary requirements for each chosen species. And they will have the opportunity to ask any questions that may arise.
You had a great job ahead of you!
